Technical stuff
To use the Four Ells website, you will need to have:
- Broadband - the videos on this site are very large. If your computer uses a dialup modem, it will take ages, so try to use the site at school or in a library.
- A fairly good computer - if your computer is over 5 years old, it may be a bit slow. Video uses a lot of computing power!
- Flash software - your computer uses this to play video on this website. You need to have the Flash version 8 or newer. You can update your software from the Flash website. If you're on a school computer, ask your teacher or your network manager.

Playing video
The video player is easy to use - just click on the video screen with your mouse to play or pause the video.
There are controls at the bottom to tell the video what to do:
 |
 |
| play |
pause |
 |
 |
| sound on |
sound off |

Accessibility
If you prefer, you can turn off the graphic headings on this site by selecting the Off button at the very top of this page.
There's a text-only version of this site as well - just go to www.fourellsfilmfestival.com/accessible and add it to your favourites. You can switch the screen colours around from white to black and search with easy single clicks.
Parental guidance
Films contributed to the Festival have been produced by different age ranges. We encourage creativity, but inevitably some filmmakers in older age groups select subject matter which may not be suitable for the younger ones. We have indicated films which contain scary scenes with a PG. If you are concerned about what your child sees, please look out for these symbols:
- suitable for all ages
- parental guidance recommended
Other problems
We hope you enjoy using this site, but if you have any other problems that you can't fix, please contact us using the boxes on the left. |
